Saskatoon high as premiers fantasize big profits for Canada's Santa Claus capitalism.
On June 2nd and 3rd, the Provincial Premiers had a conference in Saskatoon, to decide how to deal with Trump’s junk. Mark Carney went with a gung-ho attitude which soon dissipated. For the most part he spoke in generalities, not specifics; do politicians do that? Carney outlined the broad principles that would guide the selection of infrastructure projects. He went so far as to say they will make Canada's economy the strongest in the G7. He gave his endorsement of a future oil pipeline to get Alberta's bitumen to port, which must have pleased Danielle Smith, the most likely Premier to sell Canada out. Doug Ford was happy the way it went,''Now the Prime Minister is going to go to work, get the legislation passed and we'll divvy it up. I described him today as Santa Claus. He's coming and his sled is full of all sorts of stuff. Now he's taking off back to the north pole, he's going to sort it out and he's going to call us''. Wow!!!, how eloquent can a guy get. The Assembly of First Nations, were not happy about it; they are worried they wont get clean water, good housing, modern schools, roads for all seasons and community infrastructure on their lands. Ford entered one conference room singing, "Love is in the air''. If it is I doubt it will last long, because for the working class it will mean exploitation as usual as these capitalist managers mutually admire themselves in their profit dreaming love-in.
